Annual Quilting Shop Hop Comes To Kingston June 18-22, 2008
04/02/2008
Get ready for an influx of 2000 quilters and their friends and families! This annual event causes normally sane quilters to travel to each of the 54 quilt shops in Western Washington in only 5 days. Each shop creates a unique quilt block in fabrics that are only available while they last. This special fabric celebrates our area with motifs from geology, flora, and fauna.
While many of the shoppers will vie for parking places to be able to run in and grab their block before heading off to the next shop, others will take time to get to know Kingston. To encourage the latter, the Kingston Quilt Shop is hosting a 49 seat bus trip on Friday, June 20th, that will carry passengers to the sops located between Gig Harbor and Port Angeles. The bus leaves Kingston at 9:30am and returns at approximately 7:00pm. We are preparing goodie bags for the quilters. Local businesses are welcome to provide brochures, coupons, and anything else to use for door prizes along the way.
