Thanks to Chamber members who volunteered their places of business for the November Art Walk sponsored this year by the Kingston Art Gallery, many new people became aware of the fine arts in North Kitsap. The good news is that more than sixty people came into the Art Gallery and other venues. The sad news is that almost all did not know there is a Kingston Art Gallery. (A great reason to have an Art Walk.) How can this be? We boldly stand on the corner of West Kingston Road and Highway 104 at Cleo's Landing and YOU all know about us because we are co-horts in the Chamber and you read this newsletter. So, would you PLEASE spread the word? The Art Gallery benefits the whole town.

On December 8, the Kingston Country Christmas extravaganza will include a Holiday Art Walk at the Art Gallery, Boxley Gallery, The Kingston Quilt Shop, Liden Bode Printmaker Studio and Earthdance Pottery Studio. Maps will be at the 5 venues. Hours are 11am - 5pm. Twenty eight artists with a wide variety of work will be showing.

Cap off the day with a Gallery Gala celebrating our 2nd anniversary! Can it be two years already? We are stepping lively into our third year with three new artists including a painter, stained glass artist and ceramicist. Join us from 5 - 8pm for food, beverages, music, the artists and their art. I'm sure you are considering art as gifts. Not sure the taste of your giftee? A Gift Certificate is the answer. And speaking of gifts, come prepared with a donation for our food basket to be donated to local food banks: non perishables or money.
