Art All Over Downtown Kingston
11/01/2007
by Marilyn Bode
The "first phase" new remodel of the Kingston Art Gallery is remarkable! Cleo's Landing is not a garage any more! Have you seen our totally new look?
November 10th is a BIG ART DAY in downtown Kingston. First, starting at 10am and going to 5pm is the Kingston Art Walk. Thanks to Chamber members for their interest and support there are eleven venues showcasing more than twenty artists. Starting East of downtown in the Old Kingston Hotel, strolling up Highway 104 then west and north to S & J Graphics, and Earth Dance Pottery and then west to Liden Bode Printmakers, you'll find them all in easy walking distance. Invite Eastside friends to walk on to the ferry and join your adventure. Maps will be available at each host business.
At the Gallery, featured artists for November are Janice Gruber, painter, and Dawn Henthorn, sculptor. and they will be present along with the cooperatives 15 other artists at the Art Walk and Second Saturday Gallery Night, 5 - 8pm. Music again will be by the incredible Eclectics, acoustic guitarists we've been enjoying out doors all summer. So, start your BIG ART DAY with the Art Walk and finish up with our Gallery Night.
November did I say? November is just before December and you know what THAT means! You also know, as Chamber of Commerce members that "Shop Local" is the key to "Keep Kingston Green." The gallery has gifts and gift certificates in a large range of prices but only one value - tops! And remember, for unique client and employee gifts, check us out.
The venues and artists for the Kingston Art Walk are:
