We will have Safety Consultant Luis Villalva from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. He will be giving us a presentation on workplace safety.\n\nWe will also be selling raffle tickets to win door prizes! All of the proceeds from these ticket sales will go towards our Chamber Scholarship program.\n\nWe have room for everyone\, bring a friend or two!\nPlease register no later than 06/01 for lunch count. $30 for members $35 for guests. SUMMARY:Kitsap Children's Musical Theater Presents: High School Musical
DESCRIPTION:The students at East High must deal with friends\, family\, and love all while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. The show’s infectious and danceable songs are sure to entertain all.\n\nIt’s the first day after winter break at East High. The jocks\, brainiacs\, thespians\, and skater dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock\, Troy\, discovers that the brainy Gabriella\, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip\, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo\,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.\n\n\nMore info can be found at: https://www.kcmt.org/high-school-musical/\n\nTickets cost $14.00 for Youth/Military/Seniors and $18.00 for Adults. People are asked to bring blankets for ground seating and camp chairs for chair seating.\n\nThe show will be at our outdoor stage at Restoration Ranch. DESCRIPTION:The upcoming Kingston Community Meal\, hosted and sponsored by Kingston Cares\, will be on the second Friday\, June 10\, in the form of a free “Grab ‘n Go” dinner.  This event will be held outside the main entrance to the Village Green Community Center building in Kingston\, located at 26159 Dulay Road NE. \nThe boxed meal will be available to guests between 5 and 6 pm or until all have been given out.  Diners must drive up Dulay Road NE\, follow traffic instructions from volunteers\, and stop in front of the Village Green Community Center building where the meal will be handed to the guests through their car windows.  We ask that everyone remain in their vehicles. \nKingston Cares would like to encourage other community groups\, workplaces\, churches\, clubs and organizations to sign up at  (www.kingstoncares.org) to provide future dinners. \nPlease help Kingston Cares spread the word about the meals. They want to ensure that people who are having difficulty stretching their food budgets get this information. Everyone who would like to enjoy a home cooked meal is invited and welcome to join us at our next Kingston Community Meal event on the second Friday of the month\, June 10. \nThe meal is free\, however\, as always\, if people want to give back\, a donation envelope will be available. DESCRIPTION:Jed Selter. Author.  (This is in place of Chad Enright’s talk.) \nJed’s current book is “The Lion Who Flinched” . \nThe book is currently being used in a graduate leadership curriculum in Bellevue \nCollege (for the 4th semester)\, elementary schools in east Texas\, a Rotary Leadership course\, and in the fall\, a mentoring program in 19 middle/high schools in Kitsap County. \nJed has a unique background. His perspective on relationships and \nheart felt passion for people stem from an unorthodox background \nand life experiences. At the age of 15\, Jed went to work in Spanish Harlem in New York City. In high school and college\, Jed worked with deaf and blind \nchildren. After graduating from college\, he spent 5 years as an \nOfficer/ Special Agent in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations \nworking in Intelligence in the Pentagon. Jed then pursued a \nmanagement career in industry and retired as a mid-level executive \nfrom a Fortune 50 company.
